I built macros to automate the page layout, formatting, and printing. You must ENABLE MACROS for these customized print buttons to work. Excel spreadsheets print out funky from computer to computer, so Macros help solve a lot of the problems (like one page running on to the next). If you do not use the customized print macros (the buttons), then you will run into big formatting issues printing them on your own. Some may get nervous because the whole "enable macros warning" sounds scary, but I promise they are safe macros. . . I am not out to get you.
Is there any way to print all cards at once?
So yeah, the macro buttons mentioned above automate printing so that you can print out each subject at the click of a button. The macros take care of setting up the page
layout, margins, and then sending it all correctly to your printer.
If the buttons do not work when you click them, it's probably because you did not enable macros when you first opened the Excel document. You must enable macros when you first open "the grids". I suggest that before printing, you run a test print by clicking the "Print Test" button to verify that you have your margins and page layout on your computer set correctly. Hopefully these macros will be helpful!
The format is off--how do I get this to print properly?
Printing Excel documents gives you varying results from printer to printer. I created the macros to resolve print format variations as best I could.
If you are still having problems with one page running on to the next, then it's possibly due to the header or footer margin
settings forcing content on one page to run on to the next. If you adjust these margin settings you can likely solve the problem that way.
How can I trust that this is reliable information?
Everything that is written in these guides is checked against articles and sources such as eMedicine, baby Robbins, QBank,
BRS Pathology, Up-to-date, Harrisons, and others. That said, there still may be errors here and there. The grids have been heavily used
and refined, though the flash cards are a work in progress, because they are much more involved. If you see any errors or need
for improvement, please go ahead and make ammendments and submit them to revisions_at_pimpnotes_dot_org.
